Exporting Info 1 2 3

Export Smart Playlist Criteria v1.3

Two scripts, "Export Smart Playlist Criteria" and "Export Selected Smart Playlist Criteria", each export just the criteria of the selected Smart Playlist(s) to an XML file. This file can then be imported to any iTunes using the "Import" command in the File menu. Handy for backing up Smart Playlist criteria or for sharing your Smart Playlists' criteria with other users.

Make Video PDF Booklet v1.0

This script will create a PDF booklet containing video-oriented tag info from the selected tracks (or every track from the selected playlist) and then add the PDF to iTunes and copy it to the playlist where the selected tracks reside. (Here is an example PDF Booklet made with the script.)

Export Selected Tracks to XML v1.2

This script will create an importable XML file using the data from the selected tracks, similar to the iTunes "Export Song List..." as XML menu command except that just the selected tracks' data are exported. Later, you can reimport the files using the iTunes "Import..." command in the File menu.

Most Played Artists

This script generates a text file that lists the total combined play count of tracks by each unique artist in your library. You must have played at least one track by an artist for that artist to be included in the ranking.

Notable for its use of the faceless Database Events application distributed with Tiger, and thus requires Mac OS X 10.4 or better.

trackReporter v1.2

Lyrics to TextEdit

This script copies the lyrics from the Lyrics tag--if they exist--of the currently playing track, or if no track is playing, the selected track(s), to a new TextEdit document. Requires iTunes 5 or better.

Make An EQ Preset Script

Current to Clipboard v1.5

Copies info about the currently playing iTunes track to the clipboard like so: "Name of Song" by Artist Name. If current track is a radio stream, name of station will also be included (providing data is sent correctly by streamer).
