Rips each enabled (check-marked) CD track to iTunes and immediately copies it to iPod, deletes the file, and removes the track from the iTunes library, giving the appearance of seamless CD-to-iPod importing. You can also change your encoder on-the-fly and your Preferences-set encoder will be restored after the rip.

    Latest version:
  • Works around a (possible) bug in iTunes that prevents the detection of iPod free space.

iPod Lyrics To Notes

This script will copy the lyrics of the selected iPod tracks (if the selected iPod tracks contain any lyrics, that is) as Notes to that iPod's "Notes" folder.

Lyrics Notes will be organized in Artist/Album folders in a "Lyrics" folder created in the iPod "Notes" folder. Additionally, a link at the beginning of each Lyrics Note will allow you to play that particular track from the iPod. (The idea for this script was originally suggested by Adam Wiseman at Mac OS X Hints, who created a similar script.)

Show iPod Song Files

  • build type: Plain AppleScript
  • written by Doug Adams
  • posted: Feb 19, 2005
  • total downloads: 2882

This script will show the files of the selected iPod tracks in the Finder (a la iTunes' "Show Song File" menu command).

Note: recent versions of iTunes and iPod software create encoded names for files on the iPod (KLAA.m4a, EVEX.m4p, and so on). The filenames displayed, therefore, will not be the names of the tracks.)
