MusicOutfitter Search v1.1

This script will use tag data (Artist, Album, or Song Name) from the selected or playing track in iTunes as the criteria for a search of the MusicOutfitter site. MusicOutfitter sells CDs and also provides album artwork and lots of album, artist, and track information. (I have no affiliation with MusicOutfitter.com; I just like the site as a source of information.)

MusicOutfitter ceased operation as of January 31, 2008.

Selected Tracks Bookmarkable

This script will make the selected tracks in iTunes bookmarkable by checking the "Remember playback position" setting of each.

Requires iTunes 5 or better.

Shared Music Monitor v1.3.1

This script monitors your music folder and keeps track of what songs are played by anything other than your main iTunes application. It then updates iTunes with the correct playcount and last played date. This allows you to keep iTunes playcounts and last played dates accurate, regardless of what application or device you use to listen to your music. Basically any playback method which accesses your music folder is supported, including iTunes music sharing and the use of networked audio players such as the Soundbridge or Squeezebox. ReadMe is a must-read.

Not sure how well this works in Tiger and onward.

Export/Import Between Libraries v1.6

This pair of scripts is only for use with backup libraries created with iTunes Library Manager. After creating several backed up libraries, you can use these scripts to export selected tracks from one library and import them into another. Optionally, you can include play count and rating of each track.

Reset Bookmarks

(Pre-iTunes 6.0.2) This script will reset the bookmark of each selected "bookmarkable" AAC track to its very beginning, effectively clearing the bookmark from its position later in the track.

You can make your own AAC tracks bookmarkable with the script Make Bookmarkable.

Assists in creating printable CD Labels in AppleWorks using exported track data from the selected iTunes playlist, especially a CD playlist. Requires included AppleWorks Template and uses Avery 5692/8692 labels. Based on Apple's AppleScript "Build CD Tray Insert". Read Me explains more.
